Your book club finally has a destination
Book-club readaways are live: pick several books for a group and get one grounded, shareable trip — no account required to open it.
Storyland has always started from a book: tell it a title you love, and it hands you the real places behind it — the streets, the buildings, the settings the author actually walked. Readaway gave that a name and a front door of its own. We did the thing people kept asking for: made it work for a whole group at once.
Book-club readaways are live. Here's what's new:
A door of its own — mystoryland.ai/readaway/book-club. A real landing page, with a FAQ, built for the way book clubs actually plan: not one book, a stack of them, and not one reader, a group.
Group mode in the from-a-book flow. You can now pick several books for several people, and Storyland composes a grounded readaway for each one — the actual streets, buildings, and settings behind every title, mapped and walkable. When the books don't share a place, it gives you one trip per book rather than inventing a single itinerary that doesn't exist.
A shareable bundle. Every book-club plan gets its own link that anyone can open — no account, no sign-up. Send it to the group chat and everyone sees the same trip.
One honest build detail. The night we shipped it, the review caught a bug I would have missed: book titles with colons or pipes in them — the kind of punctuation half the good books have — were quietly corrupting the share URL, so some bundles wouldn't open. My AI team found it, fixed it, and re-merged the same night, so the feature never shipped broken. The whole thing went from "feature of the week" to live in about two days: three pull requests, 954 tests green, and two clicks from me.
The trust part holds under all of it: every place is real. No invented cafés, no hallucinated hotels. If your book club is arguing about where to go next, now there's a link for that.
